1. anyone remember that post on mental illness/neurodiversity and criticism of anti-capitalist commentary invoking it?

there was this post awhile back i really liked talking about how the poster agrees that capitalism/statist culture creates/aggravates mental illness/neurodiversity problems (disabling culture etc, i guess radical disability politics 101 stuff) BUUUUT that that criticism can also invisiblizes or minimize the challenges that people would probably face REGARDLESS? or that we still face even in areas a bit separate/better?

not v articulate right now, about to leave to go to the mall (lol the mall) and needa finish my makeup but wanted to ask about before leaving because i really wanna reread it/link it somewhere.

failing that i’ll write about myself/should probs do that anyway

it just seems super problematic how often people (especially neurotypical people) use this as an argument against capitalism without seeming to really understand the nuances about the lived experience of people with these issues. i’ll elaborate more later. but i guess in terms of my own life, stuff i attribute to be mostly AD(H)D problems… well some of these problems would be problems REGARDLESS of our disabling society i think, like interrupting people, zoning out, losing things, being late, etc.

ofc these are aggravated when people are not understanding/accomodating and i guess that is arguably a disabling society…. but the issue is individual reactions often not just the System. (altho yeah the system influences that… )
